Founded the band in 1998 and acted as Pipe Major until 2002

Major Influence

Jim MacRae took over as Pipe Major in 2002 and ran the band until 2018. During his tenure as PM he succeeded in teaching many on the playing of the Highland Bagpipe.

Daniel was Pipe Major from approximately 2018 to 2022. Daniel’s leadership provided a solid base in creating the success that the band is presently achieving.

Trent is the current Pipe Major as of 2022 and has an extensive background playing both the Highland Bagpipe & Uilleann Pipes. Under Trent’s leadership, Alabama Pipes and Drums has become a solid performer in the competition arena.
